The bodies of three Bangladesh nationals who died of smoke inhalation in a fire that broke out in their accommodation in Manama, the capital of Bahrain last month, arrive home on Saturday.
A flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the bodies is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 7:30pm, said an official at the Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry on Friday.
The official said the bodies would be handed over to their families soon after the arrival at the airport.
Of the three victims – Mosharaf Hossain and Jalal – hailed from Rampur of Burichong upazilla of Comilla district while another victim – Dulal- from Kacharitala, Ziapur of the same Burichong upazila.
On February 28, three Bangladesh nationals died while two more Bangladeshis suffered injuries in the fire incident that took place in a residential building in Manama.
Around 50-60 tenants – all Bangladesh nationals – were living in the building.
