Police recovered bodies of two teenage students from BSCIC Industrial area under Belgasa union of Sadar upazila in Kurigram on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Selina Akhter, 14, a daughter of Jabed Ali, from Dakuapara village under Kurigram municipality. She was a student of class VIII at Amin Uddin Dakhil Madrasa and Jahangir Alam, 16, son of Syed Ali, from Purba Kallyan village of Belgasa union. He was also an 8th grade student of Kurigram Technical School and College.

Locals marked the bodies lying near a pump house of the area in the morning. Police, after being informed, recovered
the bodies and sent those to Kurigram Sadar Hosptial morgue for autopsy around 10 am.
Police and local sources said that two students went missing on September 18. They knew each other. Locals said also, many people saw them riding on the bicycles in the local area yesterday. Locals thought that they came out to escape from home as a part of love.
Rawshan Kabir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kurigram Sadar Police Station told Media that “this incident could be murder. Besides, it is assumed that two of them had an affair.
Post-mortem report will disclose the real cause of death, said Mehedul Karim, Superintendent of Kurigram Police.
