Bobita’s 50 years in acting

Bobita is an internationally acclaimed film actress of Bangladesh who started her acting career with child role in Zahir Raihan’s movie Songsar. In her second movie Shesh Porjonto, also directed by Zahir Raihan, Bobita acted against Razzak as heroine for the first time. This movie was released on August 14 in 1969. As a heroine, she has already crossed 50 years of her acting career in the big screen.
Only for her fame and popularity different stories of Bobita’s life and activities are found on Wikipedia. Different information of Bobita’s life were published in seven languages – Bengali, English, Tamil, Korean, Odia, Punjabi and Arabic in online Encyclopedia. Bobita is very much excited in this regard. She feels it a great achievement of her 50 years of acting career.
While talking in this regard Bobita said, “At first, I am grateful to late Zahir Raihan to come into this position because in movie he was my guardian and inspiration of acting. The name of my elder sister Suchanda will also come to Zahir Raihan. Therefore, I have to mention names of noted film directors of our country like Khan Ataur Rahman, Narayan Ghosh Mita, Subhash Dutta, Amzad Hossain, Abdullah Al Mamun, Kamal Ahmed, among others. With due respect I am mentioning names of Razzak, Anwar Hossain, Golam Mustafa and ATM Shamsuzzaman by whom after I learned many things which help to develop my acting skills. While acting I did not have any greed to make house or private car. If I found good story I tried to acting without taking any remuneration. I got viewers’ loves which was inspiration of my acting. In world’s great film festivals, I represented my country’s national flag. I am obviously grateful to Satyajit Ray. I am also grateful to our film industry and my family.”
Bobita last acted in Nargis Akter’s movie Putro Ekhon Paisawala. “During corona pandemic, I talked with two directors. Their stories are in my mind. Within very soon I am going to work in a movie of them,” Bobita also said about her returning to work.
