Prides of Bangladesh two sisters and noted film actresses Bobita and Champa received awrads in India. They received the honours at ‘Tele-Cine Awards’ at Nazrul Moncha of Rabindra Sarobar in Kolkata, India on June 2. Bobita got the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution in the fields of both Bengals while Champa received the special honour on the occasion. Under the coordination of Secretary of the Award Mrinmoy Kanjilal Bobita and Champa received the awards.
After getting the award Bobita became excited and delighted. She said, “It is a great achievement for me as a Bangladeshi. It is the achievement of Bangladesh. I am really delightful to get such an award after a long time. I have dedicated this honour to them who loves me a lot. Without their love I could not come into this position. Right now I can remember Satyajit Ray because to work in his movie Ashani Sanket I became famous internationally. I can remember those days. I give thanks to organizers of the Tele-Cine Awards.”
Champa shared her feelings by this way, “Today is a memorable day for me because in same day we – the two sisters received the honours. I am grateful to the organizers. Everybody pray for me.”
It is noted that 45 years back Bobita acted in Satyajit Ray’s movie Ashani Sanket. Soumitra Chatterjee acted against her in that movie. Bobita right now does not acting in any movie. Champa acted last released movie was Inspector Naughty K.
