For the last three years popular singer SD Rubel has been doing a research work with a movie. That story got the government-grant in 2015-16 financial. Title of the movie was Briddhasram. Lora Talukder is producer and Swapan Chowdhury is giving direction of the film.
Though in the beginning of making the film Swapan Chowdhury was giving its direction but due to his illness now singer Rubel himself is giving its direction. Producer is getting Tk 40 lakh in four installments. But while making the movie its present director SD Rubel informed that this type of movie should get more amount as grants. In the film, Rubel is acting in role of a social servant while Bobby is playing the role of a social worker. Already its 70 per cent shooting has been done.
Earlier Rubel acted with Shabnur in Mon tazur Rahman Akbar’s movie Ebhabey Bhalobasha Hoi. This time he is also engaged with its making.
While talking in this regard he told this correspondent, “Earlier I had made many social awareness related programmes, TV commercials and others. I have experience about giving direction. Therefore under the banner of my production house many plays were made. There is lack of social story based works in our country now. From that point of view I have stepped forward to make this movie. I am grateful to the government to give grants for making the film. But it is not sufficient to make such a movie like Briddhasram.”
Komol Sarkar has arranged and designed its story and script.
Bobby shared her feelings by this way, “I earlier read the story of the movie. While working in the movie I cried. In fact, in our society this scenario is being observed now frequently where children ignore their parents in old age.”
It is noted that before attachment with music SD Rubel was attached with a theatre troupe named Anonnya in Comilla. He performed on stage for five years at a time. Rubel informed that he has planned to release the movie within this year.
