Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq took charge as the new President of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) on Sunday.
The newly elected BOA president took charge from outgoing president and former Army Chief General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan at a function at the BOA office in the afternoon.
In his first appearance at the office, the BOA president got acquainted with with top officials and exchanged views with them.
BOA Vice-presidents Harun-ur Rashid, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and Mizanur Rahman Manu, Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza, Deputy Secretary General Ashiqur Rahman Miku and Imtiaz Khan Babul, Treasurer Kazi Rajibuddin Ahmed Chapal and other top officials were present on the occasion.
