Bangladesh Naval ship BNS Somudrajoy returns home from Maldives after discharging the pure drinking water at capital city of Male.
The ship took berth in the naval base yesterday morning at about 10 am. Captain of the BNP ship Capt.Kutubuddin told that they reached Male port on December 11 last and hnded over one lakh liters of pure drinking water to Defence Minister of Maldives Col.Ahmed Nazim and water treatment plants .
BN sources said during their stay in Male port, about 10 tons of pure drinking water was supplied to the Male authority as part of humanity work of BN. BNS ship left Chittagong with pure drinking water for Male on December 6 last and reached Male on December 11 last.
