The BNP on Friday took the decision that its public meeting would be held on March 12 instead of March 11 at the Suhrawardy Uddyan in the city.
The party on Thursday announced that they would hold a public meeting on March 11 at the Suhrawardy Uddyan for release of the party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia from jail.
BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office that the public meeting will now be held on March 12.
Earlier, the administration refused to give permission to the BNP for holding rally either at Suhrawardy Uddyan or at Nayapaltan on February 22.
In protest, the party had announced black flag demonstration in Dhaka city on February 24.
The party held also countrywide demonstration on February 26 to protest police action on black flag demonstration.
