Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak on Wednesday said BNP has formulated the manifesto with a view to protect Razakars.
“AL’s election manifesto has made people optimistic and revived but BNP’s manifesto made them feel helpless as that manifesto was designed for protecting Razaraks and war criminals,” he said. He was speaking at a press conference at AL President Sheikh Hasina’s political office at Dhanmondi in the city.
AL Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretary Ahmod Hossain, AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Mozammel Haque , Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Abdus Sabur, Deputy Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua were present, among others.
Nanak said, ” Tuesday (December 18) AL President and daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Sheikh Hasina announced the election manifesto, which has made the people of the country optimistic and rejuvenated.”
In the manifesto of BNP, they announced there would not be any age limit for the government job applicants, which is nothing but a joke, he added. “They have conducted meeting with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency ISI which we came to know from different media…it has proved that they were trying to foil the election,” said Nanak. He urged the people to be united so that no evil force can foil the upcoming parliamentary election slated for December 30. Now there is no rebel candidate in AL except four, if they would not withdraw their nominations, action would be taken against them, he said.
