Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Saturday said BNP’s involvement in creating anarchy and hiding the criminals made them guilty in two forms of crimes.
“BNP leaders, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, have committed crimes joining with the anarchists. And, now they are indulging themselves in another crime as it trying to hide the criminals. Therefore, BNP is guilty in two forms of crimes,” he told newsmen at his official residence in the capital.
The minister said such evil forces get scope to have their heads-up due to BNP’s irresponsible politics and patronization of criminals.
Noting that the opposition party has also responsibility to the nation, Hasan, “I would like to urge them (BNP) to make constructive criticism. Please don’t talk like irresponsible from a responsible post.”
Referring to a comment of BNP on Nipun Roy’s phone call issue, the minister said the media has published who were behind the violence. “The untoward incidents were created under the banner of Hefazt Islam to make unstable the country’s situation. And BNP-Jamaat fueled them which was proved in the phone call of Nipun Roy. The phone call is clear like in broad daylight,” he added.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, said that a journalist, Shaurab, has been asked to recite Kalema in Narayanganj for identifying whether he was a Hindu or Muslim.
“In another place, attempts had been made to open clothes of a man to see if he was a Hindu or a Muslim. These were done by the invading forces in 1971. Those who are doing these things today are the next generation of evil forces as they helped the invading forces to commit genocide in Bangladesh in 1971,” he added.
About Covid- 19 situation, Hasan urged all to maintain health code.
