Staff Reporter :
The BNP on Sunday placed four points as conditions for participating in the coming polls.
“Our Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will guide the party in polls time activities. The polls will be free, fare and inclusive. Sheikh Hasina must step down from the post of Prime Minister. The polls will be conducted under a neutral government. If the points are accepted, we will go the polls,” BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said it in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office.
Rizvi said, the recent remarks of victory announced by the ruling Awami League leaders proved that they had designed a master plan to conduct another voter less election as done on January 5, 2014.
He warned against any blue print polls.
“If they try to play wrong with the peoples’ voting right, the people will prevent such plan,” he said.
Rizvi said, the government has sent Begum Khaleda Zia to jail in a false case. In the same way the government has given the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to jail in order to implement its election blue print.
BNP central leader Abdus Salam, Ataur Rahman Dhali, Adus Salam Azad, Taiful Islam Tipu, Belal Ahmed and Aminul Islam, were present in the briefing.
