The BNP will stage demonstration rally in every thana of the capital today, demanding its Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s release from jail and her proper treatment.
The party on Friday announced to hold demonstration in Dhaka city on Sunday.
The demonstration was also announced as Dhaka Metropolitan Police did not give permission to hold rally on Saturday in front of the party central office at Nayapaltan for Khaleda’s release and her proper treatment.
BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the fresh programme of demonstration in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.
On Thursday, Rizvi in a press briefing deferred the party’s Thursday’s protest rally in Dhaka city to Saturday following denial of permission from DMP.
On Monday, the party announced countrywide protest rally including Dhaka city for Thursday for detaining Khaleda in jail in false cases.
