An election coordination meeting was held at the home of Habibur Rahman Habib, a BNP-nominated candidate and Khaleda Zia’s adviser in the by-election of Pabna-4 (Ishwardi-Atgharia) constituency on Thursday noon. Former Minister and convener of BNP’s Election Management Committee Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku spoke as the chief guest.
Former Minister Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu MP candidate Habibur Rahman Habib, Khaleda Zia’s personal assistant Adv. Shimul Biswas, former MP Selim Reza Habib, former MP KM Anwarul Islam, Pabna district BNP leader Abdus Samad Montu, Eng. Habibur Rahman Tota Siddiqur Rahman.
Speaking as the chief guest, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku said that the election is being held for the release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tarique Rahman. If the police, UNO and magistrates do not cast their votes in the upcoming elections, the victory of BNP candidate Habib will be sure. He added that no rift could be maintained within the party. Forgetting all kinds of rift and working together in the field, no one can stop Habib’s victory. Later in the afternoon, the leaders also addressed a separate election meeting at Sahapur school ground.
