Health Minister Mohammad Nasim said none will hinder BNP, if the party shuns violence, begs pardon to the nation, and continues its political programme peacefully. “Come to the path of democracy seeking pardon. Observe peaceful programme, none will hinder it. If you want polls, that will be held in 2019 under Sheikh Hasina’s government,” he said.
Nasim, also the presidium member of the ruling party, said this while addressing a protest rally on Monday organized by Awami League-led 14-party alliance at Uttara in the city.
On dialogue, the ruling party leader said “there is no question of holding dialogue with BNP. We wouldn’t hold any dialogue with killers.”
Terming BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia as the leader of militancy, Nasim said “We were oppressed when we waged movement in the past. But we didn’t oppress the people of the country. But now, BNP is oppressing the people in the name of movement.
