Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Tuesday urged the BNP to come out of the emblem it has earned internationally as a corrupt, terrorist and fraud organization.
“I want to urge the BNP to come out of the insignia of a corrupt, terrorist and a fraud organization,” he said while addressing a press conference at Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political office at Dhanmondi in the city.
Terming BNP as a corrupt organization, Mahmud said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia whitened black money. Not only Begum Zia but also her former finance minister late Saifur Rahman also whitened black money, he added.
BNP is not only a corrupt outfit, it is now a terrorist and fraud organization which is internationally recognized, Mahmud said.
AL Cultural Secretary Ashim Kumar Ukil, Liberation War Affairs Secretary Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, Education and Human Resource Secretary Shamsun Nahar Chapa, Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, Youth and Sports Secretary Harun-or-Rashid, Agriculture and Cooperatives Secretary Faridunnahar Laily, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Science and Technology Secretary Engineer Abdus Sabur and Forests and Environment Secretary Delwar Hossain, among others, were present.
