Urging BNP not to do polities in everything, Awami League Presidium Member and Spokesman of the 14-party alliance Mohammad Nasim on Monday said doing politics in everything now becomes the nature of BNP. “Blaming the government for the country’s every incident becomes the fashion of the BNP leaders. Even if a corrupted person is arrested, you (BNP leaders) start doing politics in favour of him or her, which could not be tolerated,” he said while speaking at a press conference at Bangabandhu Avenue Central Office of Awami League after a meeting of the 14-party alliance.
He said the BNP’s politics is going to be destroyed for patronising the corrupted people in politics.
Accusing the government for all things becomes the habit of BNP leaders and that’s why their party is now in bad shape, Nasim said, adding,”BNP stated that the owner of the fire-ravaged FR Tower was arrested for political reason.”
“But I want to say, do not they do any misdeed? He is the owner of the building. BNP wants to do politics in everything. That’s why the party is in adverse condition,” he said.
The 14-party alliance spokesman said the owner of the FR Tower constructed 22 floors after getting permission of an 18-storey building. “So, the owner of the FR Tower was arrested. Why you (BNP leaders) starting politics after his arrest.”
Urging the MPs-elect of the BNP to take oath and join the parliament, he said if they do not take oath within April 30 next, they will lose the last chance.
The central leaders of the 14-party alliance at its meeting on Monday announced different programmes aiming to create a social movement against anarchy, drugs and violence against women and children in the country.
The 14-party alliance will hold guardians’ rallies in the city’s Motijheel and Dhanmondi on April 10-11 respectively. It will hold discussions at CIRDAP auditorium here on April 15 and 16 where political leaders, intellectuals, journalists and members of the civil society will take part.
Chaired by Mohammad Nasim, the meeting was attended, among others, by member of Awami League central committee Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Bangaldesher Workers Party General Secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, Gonoazadi League President SK Shikder, Presidium Member of Jatiya Party (JP) Azaz Ahmed Mukta and Awami League Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap.
