Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said BNP made a mistake by not taking part in the election in 2014. “I personally hope that all political parties including BNP will take part in the next general election…I also hope that BNP will not make the same mistake in 2019 election,” he said this on Saturday while speaking with reporters after visiting e-health profile preparing activities for the Hajj pilgrims at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital (SSMCH) here. SSMCH Director Professor Dr Uttam Kumar Barua and Professor Dr ABM Maksudul Alam, among others, were present during his visit. About BNP’s comments on the supportive government issue, Nasim said that party has a habit of making allegations over all matters. The next polls will be held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and there is no chance of any change in this regard, he added. Nasim, also AL Presidium member, said the Election Commission declared the roadmap for next polls and they (EC) are taking preparations to hold the polls neutrally. “I believe, Awami League, BNP and other parties will get same opportunities from the EC,” he added. Nasim asked the SSMCH director to complete the e-health profile preparing activities for hajj pilgrims properly.
