BNP stages demo in Rajshahi seeking Khaleda’s release

Leaders and activists of Rajshahi district BNP on Saturday staged demonstration in the city seeking release of their ailing Chairperson of the party Begum Khaleda Zia from jail.
Led by Rajshahi metropolitan BNP’s Standing Committee President Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, several hundred party leaders and activists brought out a procession from BNP’s party office at Malopara in the city around 11 am.
Speakers said on the programme that their party’s chairperson Khaleda is now seriously ill but she did not receive proper treatment. They demand her release from the jail for ensuring proper treatment.
BNP Standing Committee Member addressed as the chief guest while BNP central committee’s relief and rehabilitation affairs assistant secretary and also Rajshahi metropolitan BNP General Secretary Adv Shofikul Haq Milon, district convener Abu Sayed Chad, Rajshahi metropolitan Jubo Dal president Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Metropolitan Chhatra Dal President Asaduzzaman Joni and other party leaders and activists were present, on the occasion, among others.
