The BNP has shared 19 seats with the Oikyafront after long discussions with alliance partners. Meanwhile, the Oikyafront under the leadership of Dr. Kamal has prepared a list of their candidates to contest in the coming polls
Dr Kamal Hossain led Gono Forum got seven seats. These are: Gono Forum General Secretary Mostafa Moshin Montu-Dhaka-7; Executive President Subrata Chowdhury-Dhaka-6, AHM Khalekuzzaman- Maymonsingh- 8; Dr Reza Kibria-Habigong-1; Professor Abu Sayed-Pabna-1; Sultan Mohammad Mansur Ahmed- Moulabibazar-2 and Major General (Ret.) AMSA Amin-Kurigram -2.
ASM Abdur Rab led-Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) got 5 seats. The candidates and seats are: ASM Abdur Rab- Laxmipur-4; General Secretary Abdul Malek Ratan- Cumilla-4; Organizing Secretary Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan-Dhaka-18; Dr Saiful Islam- Kishoreganj-3 and Nurul Islam Mal- Sarihatpur-1.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna led-Nagorik Oikya got five seats. The candidate and the seats are: Mahmudur Rahman Manna-Bogura-2; SM Akram- Narayangong-5; Shah Rahmat Ullah- Rangpur-1; Mofakharrul Islam- Rangpur-5 and Nurur Rahman Jahangir- Barisal-4.
Abdul Kader Siddique’s Krishak Sramik Janata League got two seats.
Jatiya Oikyafront will contest in the polls with the symbol of ‘Paddy of Sheaf’, which is the symbol of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
