UNB, Dhaka :
BNP paid tributes to late Arafat Rahman Koko, the younger son of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman and ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, on Wednesday, marking his 51st birthday.
Some BNP leaders, led by its standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, placed a wreath at Koko’s grave at Banani Graveyard around 10:30am on Wednesday. They also offered fateha and joined a munajat there seeking salvation of Koko’s departed soul. Several hundred BNP leaders and activists gathered near the graveyard, but police allowed only some party leaders to maintain social distancing rules.
