UNB, Sunamganj :
Alleging that BNP had conspired to create anarchy in the country through killing foreigners in the name of IS, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Friday said the government tackled everything efficiently.
“Foreign national Cesare Tavella was killed at the order of BNP leaders. A Japanese citizen was also killed in the similar fashion. But it was claimed that IS
carried out the murders in a bid to create anarchy in the country. However, the government thwarted all conspiracies with patience,” he said.
The minister was addressing a function marking the opening of an academic building of Layes Bhuiyan High School in Dharmapash upazila.
Asaduzzaman reiterated that there is no IS in Bangladesh. “Our detectives have proved who were involved with the killings of foreigners,” he said.
Speaking at the programme, State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan claimed that the country is heading in the right direction.
