The BNP on Monday said that its candidates, who have been elected in the 11th national election, will not join Parliament session, even would not take oath.
“We reject the lopsided polls and its result. So, there is no question to take oath by our elected MPs. They will not join the Parliament and would not take oath,” BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said it at the party’s post-election press conference in the party chief’s Gulshan offices in the capital. Mirza Fakhrul said, we demand to the Election Commission to cancel the one-sided election and re-schedule the polls under a care taker government.
The BNP gets five seats and its ally Gonoforum gets two seats in the 11th general polls which the party has rejected saying it was a violence marred lopsided election.
