BNP Vice-Chairman Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain on Friday said, the party men need to take to the streets to free its Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia from jail.
“Khaleda Zia is a victim of the government’s political vengeances. So, I think it will not be easy to free her through the legal process. It is highly necessary to build

popular movement to get her released from jail,” said Mahbub Hossain while addressing a protest meeting as the chief guest in the National Press Club.
The Senior Supreme Court Lawyer said, “It will not be easy to free her without government’s will. It is because the government has victimized her.”
He said the party leaders and workers should join street movement for Khaleda Zia’s immediate release. It is the only way in this regards.
‘Nagorik Odhikar Andolon Forum’, a civic platform organized the meeting demanding Khaleda Zia’s immediate release from jail.
“The history will deliver verdict how far we were right to contest in the 11th general election keeping Khaleda Zia in jail,” he said.
He asked the BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront leaders to build tough movement on a single issue and that is to free Khaleda Zia from jail.
Sayeed Ahmed Aslam, Advisor of the organization, presided over the programme.
