Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim said there is no scope of doing politics over the treatment of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as she is being given proper treatment with due honour.
“We would form a fresh medical board for her if necessary. She is a former prime minister, politician and aged woman. We are very much aware about her treatment,” Nasim said.
The minister urged BNP leaders not to spread falsehood over Khaleda’s treatment, adding, “There is no provision of giving treatment to any prisoner going outside the jail code. She is being given proper treatment and that will be provided in the future too. We would like to assure all that there will be no negligence about her treatment.”
Nasim came up with the observations on Sunday while addressing a discussion and Iftar Mahfil organized by his office in the city’s Officers’ Club.
