BNP Senior leaders on Thursday faced wrath of party activists over announcing agitation programme for the release of the party’s imprisoned Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Barrister Moudud Ahmed faced anger of the activists during delivering speeches in a discussion meeting marking the February 21 martyrs and International Mother Language Day at Institution of Engineers’, Bangladesh.
The agitated leaders and activists of BNP and its fronts shouted from the audience saying, “We want to hear about agitation programme, we want to listen about Khaleda Zia’s release.”
They also shouted asking that why the audience was so empty of activists and supporters?
The activists started shouting during Barrister Moudud Ahmed’s speech.
They also shouted again during Mirza Fakhrul’s speech.
Mirza Fakhrul asked the agitated activists to stop shouting and hold patience.

Mirza Fakhrul said one thing has to be understood that when a democratic force fight against fascism then achieving success is not so easy.
Fakhrul asked the angry activists why they were thinking that they have failed. “You never failed. The Awami League has failed,” he said.
The BNP leader said, AL only gave lip service of democracy, but never believed it.
BNP leaders including Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan and Abdullah Al Noman addressed the discussion jointly conducted by assistant organising secretary Abdus Salam Azad and assistant publicity secretary Amirul Islam Alim.
