The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday placed BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas on a five-day remand in a sabotage case filed with Shahbagh Police Station of the city. Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari of the CMM Court passed order on Thursday.
Earlier, on February 9, Shimul Biswas was once put on remand for five days in another sabotage case filed with Shahbagh Police Station of the city.
Shimul was arrested from the premises of Special Court-5 of Dhaka in Bakshibazar area on February 8, minutes after the conviction of BNP Chief Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
