The High Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to BNP standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah for four weeks in seven separate cases in connection with ‘subversive activities’.
An HC bench comprising Justice Rezaul Haque and Justice Md Khasruzzaman granted the anticipatory bail in response to separate petitions filed by
Rafiqul Islam Miah’s lawyers on his behalf.
The BNP senior leader was also present during the hearing.
Of the seven cases, five were filed with Mirpur Police Station while two with Pallabi Police Station.
