Court Correspondent :
A Dhaka court yesterday (Sunday) directed police to interrogate BNP leader Nadim Mostafa at the jail gate in two cases filed in connection with vandalism and arson attack.
Magistrate Maruf Hossain of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka rejected two petitions: one for placing Nadim on remand and to grant him
bail in the cases. Nadim is the President of BNP’s Rajshahi district unit.
The Investigating Officer in his petition sought fourteen days’ remand to interrogate Nadim, while the BNP leader’s counsel, Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukdar sought cancellation of the remand plea and also Nadim Mostafa’s release from the jail custody. He was arrested from a residence of Gulshan in the capital on January 23.
