BNP chairperson’s adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu has been arrested. Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested him from in front of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s political office at Gulshan in the city on Sunday evening.
Mosaddek Ali Falu went there to meet the BNP chief in her office. Police arrested him from the main gate of the office.
Later, he was taken to the headquarters of DB police in Mintoo Road in the city. Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the news. He said that, Falu was brought in DB headquarters for interrogation.
Earlier, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday.
Mosaddek Ali Falu’s name came in the limelight again following the death of Khaleda Zia’s younger son Arafat Rahman Koko. Falu went Malaysia with Khaleda Zia’s brother Shamim Iskander to bring back Koko’s body. He was in frontline during Koko’s Janaza and funeral.
