Police on Friday arrested BNP central executive committee member and Bhaluka Upazila unit president of the party Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu from Mymensingh.
A team of police arrested him from his residence in the district town in the afternoon under ‘Explosive and Speedy Trial Act’.
Officer-in-Charge of Bhaluka Thana told media that police arrested the BNP leader in connection with a number of cases filed against him under ‘Explosive and Speedy Trial Act’. Bachchu will be produced before the court after interrogation, he added.
