BNP, JSD boycott UP polls in Fulgazi

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) boycotted polls of 11 Union Parishad on Monday following allegation of rigging and clashes.
BNP nominated candidate Nurul Kabir Foyez of Baligaon Union, JSD nominated candidate Abdul Zabbar Paltu of Amzad Union (Torch brand) demanded new election schedule at midday on the day.
On the other hand, Abdul Zabbar, presiding officer of a polling station at Zia Math primary school
of Fulgazi Upazila has withdrawn for allegedly irregularities in the polls.
Meanwhile, there was a panic prevailed in the Dharmapur Union of Feni Sadar due to firing and torching at two vehicles. The voters of those nine polling stations turned out poor due to panic. Besides, outside voters of the ruling party were there.
Rezaul Hoque, police super of Feni said that sufficient numbers of law efnforcement agencies were deployed there for the security of general voters.
