Court Correspondent :The ‘Blue Panel’ of the Pro-BNP and Jamaat lawyers won 18 posts out of 25 in the Dhaka Bar Association election for the session 2014-2015. On the other hand, the Awami League backed ‘White Panel’ secured six member posts only.The ‘Blue Panel’ won the posts of president, two vice-presidents, general secretary, senior assistant general secretary, assistant general secretary, library secretary, cultural secretary and office secretary, and nine members. However, result of the post of treasurer will be announced today. The two-day election was held on last Wednesday and Thursday. Of the 14,310 voters 8,175 exercised their franchise in the election. Advocate Abus Sabur, a former President of Dhaka Bar discharged the duties of the Chief Election Commissioner.The office bearers are: President Md Mohoshin Miah, Senior Vice-President Md Rezaul Karim Nizam, Vice-President Md Zahir Raihan Jasim and General Secretary Md Mosleh Uddin Jasim. Besides, Mohammed Abu Yousuf Sarkar was elected Senior Assistant General Secretary, Mohammad Arifur Rahman Ranju Assistant General Secretary, Ahmad Ullah Aman Library Secretary, Rafiza Alam Lucky Cultural Secretary and Mohammad Shahid Gazi Office Secretary.
