BNP-Jamaat, Oikyafront trying to make election questionable: Nanok

Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanok on Sunday said BNP-Jamaat and National OiKya Front are carrying out violence and falsehood to make the 11th Parliamentary election questionable, sensing their imminent defeat.
Nanok was speaking at a press conference at AL president Sheikh Hasina’s political office at city’s Dhanmondi area on overall situation of election that started from 8 am across the country.
AL Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman, Organising Secretary Ahmed Hossain, BM Mozammel Haque, Forest and Environment affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain, Deputy Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua, Member of AL Central Executive Committee Golam Rabbani Chinu and Marufa Akhtar Popy were present, among others.
“BNP-Jamaat and National Oikya Front are trying to raise violence and creating panic across the country,” he said urging all AL leaders and activists to remain alert to tackle the situation carefully.
“They are also making ridiculous comments about Electronic Voting Machine (EVM),” he added.
He said, today BNP-Jammat attacked on AL leaders and activists at Sunamganj, Bagerhat, Kushtia, Chittagong, Rangamati, Rajshahi, Noakhali, Kishoreganj, Sirajganj, Joypurhat, Panchagarh, kumilla and Dhaka constituency-1.
