Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said the BNP-Jamaat nexus is again hatching various conspiracies after they failed to wage any anti-government movement capitalizing on the students’ protest for safe roads.
“Awami League leaders and workers will have to remain alert so that BNP-Jamaat could not succeed in hatching anti-government conspiracies,” he said this on Friday while speaking at a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club.
Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Parishad organized the discussion marking the 88th birth anniversary of Bangamata.
Food Minister Advocate Md Qamrul Islam, AL Advisory Council Member Advocate Yusuf Hossain Humayun, Legal Affairs Secretary Advocate SM Rezaul Karim, AL sub-committee member Balaram Podder, Bangamata Parishad President Professor Abdul Mannan Chowdhury and General Secretary Abdus Salam addressed the function, among others.
Hasan said Bangamata had major contributions to every achievement of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In the absence of Bangabandhu, she gave directives to Awami League side by side with maintaining her family, he added.
In his address, Qamrul Islam said Bangamata had possessed all qualities of a perfect Bangalee woman. She was very conscious in all spheres, including family, politics and society, he added.
