BSS, Dhaka :
Industries Minister and Awami League Advisory Council member Amir Hossain Amu said that the BNP-Jamaat combine unleashed anarchy to set an evil force in state power by creating a political vacuum and constitutional crisis in the country.
“Without taking part in the national polls under the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the BNP-Jamaat combine created anarchy across the country by killing many people even setting them on fire. Now they (BNP-Jamaat) have been participating in the upazila polls under the same Prime Minister. BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia would have to answer to the nation for this,” he said.
The Minister said this on Thursday while speaking as the chief guest at the cover unveiling ceremony of a book “The August 21 tragedy:
Blood- stained Bangladesh” at the open-stage of the Liberation War Museum at Segunbagicha in the city. Railways Minister Md Mujibul Huq attended the function as the special guest with president of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) Altaf Mahmud in the chair. Writer of the book Md Selim Reza, cover designer Nuruzzaman Santu, a hero of the Language Movement Abul Kashem, general secretary of Bangabandhu Sangskritik Joe Arun Sarker Rana and acting president of Dhaka City (North) unit of Mahila Awami League Nasima Ferdouse were the discussants, among others.
