BNP highlights ‘Vision-2030’ on its election manifesto

The BNP is highlighting Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s ‘Vision-2030’ in its election manifesto soon.
Party leaders said, the election manifesto-2018 will be disclosed soon after December 9 after finalising the alliums’ candidates in 300 seats.
The proposed manifesto selects 40 sectors ranging from democracy, nation building, defense, foreign policy, economy and ICT to social welfare, tourism, sports and culture.
Earlier on May 10 in 2017 Begum Khaleda Zia announced ‘Vision-2030’ as the party’s manifesto in a hotel in the capital.
“We have given importance to justice and transparency in all sectors in the election manifesto. We give priority to development of our youths, enough space for our youths to get involved in development activities using latest technologies,” BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury told The New Nation.
He said, the party’s manifesto will be time befitting as well. Party sources said, a committee comprising party leaders and scholars from Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University and other universities, eminent economists, journalists, other professionals are working to prepare BNP’s manifesto.
Dhaka University former Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Emajuddin Ahmed, Jahangirnagar University former Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mustahidur Rahman, Journailst Mahfuz Ullah and Economist Mahbub Ullah are in the committee.
When contacted, BNP Joint-Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal told The New Nation, “There will be a balance of power between Prime Minister and President according to our election manifesto as our party chief announced one year ago.”
According to the vision-2030, the prime minister’s sole executive power has resulted in a dictatorship.
It also upholds the sprite of liberation war and sovereignty ownership of the people.
The party also is giving importance to Technology based economy as the youths can get easy access to the latest technologies of the world to get involved, development activities through that to make themselves and country richer.
The manifesto is also promising to create youth friendly development in the country to so that the next generation could realize their responsibilities about nation building activities. One of the important points in the manifesto is good governance and transparency in administration and all government work. The manifesto has also given importance establishing neutral judiciary.The BNP promised not to intervene in the judgment. The manifest is also promising to stop extra judicial killing on the name of ‘gunfight’.
Moazzem Hossain Alal said, their party’s and two alliances nominations will be finalized on December 9. Then the manifesto will be announced before the media as soon as possible.
