Communications Minister Obaidul Quader said there is no sign that the BNP has any organizational or political preparations to wage a movement taking the people with them.
“The BNP’s movement is revolving round a circle of frustration,” he said this on Saturday while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on National Mourning Day at Bandarban district Awami League office.
Presided over by district AL President Kya Shoi Hana, the meeting was also addressed by State Minister for CHT Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushoising and local AL leaders Shafiqur Rahman, Abdur Rahim Chowdhury, Kazi Majibar Rahman and Laxmipada Das as special guests.
The communications minister said the BNP has no issue to wage a movement and the people are not with them. The BNP would be more isolated from the people, if it tries to launch a movement, he added.
Obaidul Quader said peace is yet to restore fully in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT). The internal roads in the hill districts would be developed for the expansion of tourism, he added.
