BNP demands Sohel’s release

The BNP has protested the detention of President of Jatiyatabadi Sechchhasebak Dal Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel and demanded his immediate and unconditional release.
BNP Joint-Secretary General and the party’s current spokesman Salahuddin Ahmed in a statement issued on Monday demanded his unconditional release and withdrawal of all false and fabricated cases filed against the chief of the BNP’s front body.
The court on Sunday sent Sohel to jail rejecting his bail petitions in 11 cases.
Salahuddin Ahmed said when the people of the
country are united under the leadership of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia movement through the government is choosing the path of arresting and harassing the leaders and workers of the BNP. The anti-government movement won’t be stopped by repression. Rather, the movement will be intensified day by day, he warned.
He said there is no rule of law in the country. The present government is snapping all the basic rights of the people, he added.
