Satkania Upazila BNP claimed that BNP nominated mayoral candidate for Satkania municipality Haji Rafiqul Alam did not withdraw from the mayoral race. After few hours of wide publicity of withdrawing from Mayoral race by BNP nominee by a vested quarters, Satkania BNP claims it.
Convenor and member secretary of the election monitoring committee of Mayoral candidate Prof. Sk. Md. Mohiuddin and Mojibur Rahman respectively in a joint statement said sensing the absolute defeat of ruling party nominee, this controversial information spreading by the ruling party men and their associates. The statement was told that BNP has participated the poura election with the central decisions and will remain in election till declare of election results. A reliable sources said BNP nominee announced his withdrawal from mayoral race of Satkaina pourasabha at his friends office in city without apprising anyone of the party.
