UNB, Dhaka :BNP spokesperson Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon has condemned the arrest of its leaders in Natore and Gazipur districts. In a statement, Ripon said police have arrested Kazi Golam Morshed, a former MP of Natore, and Chan Khan, chairman of Tongi thana BNP of Gazipur.He further alleged that “false” cases have been filed against 23 BNP leaders, including Jessore BNP vice president Mizanur Rahman, party secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon and Aninda Islam Amit, son of BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam. Ripon denounced the ongoing countrywide arrest of BNP leaders in “false” cases, and their harassment, and demanded the quick release of the detained BNP leaders and the withdrawal of “false” cases filed against them.
