Police have permitted the BNP to hold a march carrying black flags in Dhaka on Saturday to protest against Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians in Gaza. But the permission was granted on certain conditions. Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police told reporters on Friday that the march had been granted. BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the march would begin in front of the party headquarters in Naya Paltan at 3pm on Saturday. The BNP leader said the police had asked them not to carry weapons and sticks and wrap up the march before 6:30pm, among several conditions. The BNP and its allies will also take out similar marches in other parts of the country on the day.
