Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said BNP could not halt AL’s victory in the next general elections by spreading falsehood.
“Falsehood is the most weakness symbol of BNP… but they couldn’t stop AL’s victory through lies,” he said this on Thursday while speaking at a press conference at AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political office in Dhanmondi after a meeting of secretary level.
AL Joint General Secretaries Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanok and Abdur Rahman, Organizing Secretaries Ahmed Hossain, BM Mozammel Haque, AFM Bahauddin Nasim, AKM Enamul Haque Shamim and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, Cultural Affairs Secretary Ashim Kumar Ukil and Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, among others, were present.
“People are the main strength of Awami League and they will bring us to power,” Quader said, adding, “We do not depend on any foreign mentor to go to power.”
About flood situation, Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said his party is also distributing relief goods side by side with the government.
He also urged the party leaders and workers to monitor flood affected areas and stand beside the flood victims.
