‘BNP cannot come to power thru’ hostility’

Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Tuesday said BNP-Jamaat will never be able to go to power triggering hostile relation with people.
“The main goal of BNP-Jamaat is the destruction of people, they will never to go to power by making a hostile relation with people, because they are unleashing terrorism and militant activities in the name of democratic movement,” he said.
Hasan Mahmud said this at a human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club organized by Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad, Dhaka unit protesting the blockade and shutdown called by BNP led 20 party alliances.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq, Former state minister for home Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku and President of the Parishad M Shahadat Hossain, Awami League central sub-committee assistant secretary Advocate Balaram Poddar, Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarkar also spoke.
“As BNP missed the election on Jan 5, they are creating anarchism across the country”, said Hasan Mahmud.”Those who want to go to power need people’s support, but they have been killing people by hurling petrol bombs that can never be acceptable,” he said adding, “Even the members of army do not launch attack on its people in any country even during war.”
