Sylhet Correspondent :The BNP-led 20-party alliance has called a dawn-to-dusk hartal in Sylhet Division for today [Thursday] protesting the cases filed against Khaleda Zia for masterminding the arson attacks in Dhaka and Comilla.Dr Shahawat Hossain Jibon, assistant organising secretary of BNP’s Sylhet unit, confirmed the shutdown.Chouddogram police station SI Nuruzzaman filed a case on Monday night, naming Khaleda Zia as mastermind to the arson attack on a covered van in Comilla.Earlier on Sunday, the BNP chief was sued in a case filed by Jatrabari police station Sub-Inspector KM Nuruzzaman over arson attack on a bus at Jatrabari in Dhaka.At least 27 people sustained burns after miscreants set a passenger bus afire in the capital’s Jatrabari area on Friday night. They have been undergoing treatment at burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
