BNP calls for FFs’ unity to restore people’s rights

UNB, Dhaka :Claiming that the country is passing through a critical time, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul IslamAlamgir on Sunday called upon all, including the freedom fighters, to get united to overcome the situation.”The country is going through a very hard time. We’ve lost our right to expression and even the voting and basic rights. We all must get united upholding the spirit of the Liberation War to restore our rights,” he said.The BNP leader came up with the call when a delegation of Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal met him at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office. The delegation, led by Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal senior vice president Abedur Rahman, also presented the BNP acting secretary general a bouquet for returning to politics after getting released from jail and receiving treatment abroad.In a brief address, Fakhrul said, “I hope you’ll work together actively to restore people’s basic rights the way you played an active role in the country’s Liberation War. We believe you’ll turn successful if you get united and work together.”He also wished the leaders of the Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal good health and long life. Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal vice presidents Abul Hossain, Mizanur Rahman Khan, Golam Mostafa, SM Kamal Uddin, first joint general secretary Sadek Ahmed Khan and joint general secretary Shohidul Islam Chowdhury were, among others, present.
