Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif said BNP has become a politically isolated party as it is now trying to come back to political field with the help of detached leaders by forming Oikyafront.
“BNP has become politically isolated party. . . And it is trying to return to political field with the help of some leaders who are fully detached from people of the country,” he told journalists after a view-exchange meeting at Hatosh Horipur union parishad in Kushtia on Friday. Without mentioning anybody’s name, he said the prime leader of the BNP is now in jail on change of taking graft while another went into hiding in connection with terrorist activities.
The senior leader of the ruling party accused BNP leader Tarique Rahman of hatching conspiracy staying outside the country as their prime target is to foil the upcoming polls staled for December 30. The present government is firm to resist any kind of terrorist activities, Hanif said, adding, “So the election cannot be stopped mounting any pressure.”
District unit of AL Vice-President Sadar Uddin Khan, General Secretary Ajgor Ali, Joint Secretary Engineer Faruk-Uz-Zaman and Organizing Secretary Mehedi Hasan, among others, were present on the occasion.
