Rizvi blames Govt: BNP aspirant Abu Bakar`s body found in Buriganga

Body of BNP’s nomination aspirant from Jessore, Abu Bakar was found in Buriganga river on Thursday after his disappearances from a city hotel on Sunday.
Keranigonj police recovered the dead body from the river. Abu Bakar’s family members identified the victim after police uploaded the picture of the body on facebook last night.
Meanwhile, BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Thursday accused the government agencies of killing Abu Bakar.
“Abu Bakar, a four time elected UP chairman from Jessore has submitted nomination papers to the BNP office and waiting for taking part in the party’s interview at Gulshan office. He was staying a hotel in the capital. The law enforcers on Sunday had taken him away from the hotel and his body was found in the river Buriganga on Thursday,” Rizvi said in an emergency press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office last night.
Rizvi said, “Earlier, a quota reform agitator’s body also was found similarly in Buriganga.”
He warned the government saying, the killing of Abu Bakar was conducted with the government’s directives. The government is playing with fire. BNP leaders and activists were being disappearing everyday. The whole country is now turned into a valley of death.
The BNP leader condemned the killing of Abu Bakar and demanded punishment of the killers through proper investigations.
Family sources said, after disappearances from a hotel in Paltan area, a person demanded Tk 1.50 lakh from Abu Bakar’s nephew as ransom.
Abu Bakar’s family has given Tk 1.50 lakh through different mobile banking numbers on Monday.
They also gave more Tk 20000 as per the callers demand.
But the phone callers switched off their cell phones after getting those money.
