BNP asks its voters to act as their own polling agents

The BNP is now asking the voters to become their own polling agents as most of the leaders and the activists of the party are either in jail or fled. The party high command does not know what to do on Sunday if the voters do not agree”, said Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, the Joint-Secretary General of the BNP.
The party’s grass roots, leaders, activists, and even the supporters have been attacked to leave the areas so that there is no polling agent. “Every night, searching for our our party men and supporters’ residences and arresting of male members and misbehavior with female members continue across the country,” Moazzem Hossain Alal said.
In this situation, how can the party men and supporters stay at home?
BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that around 10,833 leaders and activists of the party has been

arrested across the country since the announcement of the polls schedule on November 8.
About activists have been carried out on 2,896 on BNP men that left nine people dead.
The candidates of Sheaf of Paddy also expressed the similar.
Subrata Chowdhury, Gonoforum Executive President and candidate of Sheaf of Paddy for Dhaka-7 constituency on Thursday asked the voters to work as leaders.
 He asked the voters during campaign, “You are my leaders, you are my activists. You know there are no leaders even workers or supporters are here to work for me. The police have arrested most of reliable leaders from my constituency. Rests of them have leaved the area to avoid police harassment and arrest. In this circumstances, you are my only space of rely.”
Subrata Chowdhury said that he is thinking that how can manage to set polling agents on the election day on December 30. He said it in separate yard meeting in Gandaria and Sutrapur area.
BNP Organising Secretary and the party candidate for Faridpur-2, Shama Obaed told The New Nation, “Police are attacking and harassing my workers and supporters everyday. Many of my party men are staying in Dhaka and other areas due to threat of police. I am now asking voters of may area to act as my leaders and workers.”
BNP Publicity Affairs Secretary and candidate for Laxmipur-3 constituency said, “How can I continue contesting the polls when the police attacks injured me and my workers are fleeing everyday to get rid of attacks? Most of my local leaders and activists are in jail or in hideout.”
He said, I have no idea how to I get Sheaf of Paddy agents in polling centers?
