The BNP said that its candidates, who have been elected MPs in the 11th national election, will not join Parliament session, even they will not take oath.
But the Gono Forum MP’s are yet to decide about taking oath.
“We reject the lopsided polls and its result. So, there is no question to take oath by our elected MPs. They will not join the Parliament and would not take oath,” BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said it at the party’s post-election press conference in the party chief’s Gulshan offices in the capital.
Mirza Fakhrul said, we demand cancellation of the one-sided election, but want new polls under a care taker government.
The BNP gots five seats and its ally Gonoforum two seats only in the 11th general polls, which the party rejected saying it was a violence marred lopsided election.
Subrata Chowdhury, Executive President of the Gonoforum told journalists on Wednesday that they had not decided that whether their two elected MP’s take oath or not.
“It will be decided after discussing in our party forum,” he said.
