Bangladesh National Cadet Core (BNCC) of Comilla Mainamati Regiment’s fourth platoon starts its annual training camp at Comilla University (CoU) from 24 August. The camp has been inaugurated by CoU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ali Ashraf on Monday last. Prof Dr Sayadur Rahman, Dean of science faculty, Masuda Kamal, Dean of social science faculty, Proctor Md Ainul Haque and others were present at the program. Four Mainamati battalion commander major AHM Shahrir presided over the inauguration program.
Speakers at the program said, BNCC is entrusted with the task of grooming the future leaders and finding the hidden potentials of youths. BNCC cadets are highly concerned with knowledge, discipline, and unity. Therefore, they are contributing a lot to shape the country. They expected, evey BNCC cadet will sacrifice more and more at the hour of national crisis.
The 10-day training camp will continue till september 2 under major Iqbal of mainamoti regiment in which ten army member will train the apprentice. 120 BNCC cadets from ten educational institutions are taking part in this camp. Ferdous Kabir, cadet under officer (CuO bncc platoon) is the cadet adjutant during the training.
